Japan Poultry Industry Science and Technology Research Association (JPISTRA)
To functions as a poultry information hub so that information can be effectively shared and used to bridge the gap between the field, the industry and the academe, PPQC established the Association of Japanese Layer Industries Science and Technology (JLIST). In 2002, the association was expanded to include all the other sectors of the poultry industry. Consequently it was renamed as the Japan Poultry Industry Science and Technology Research Association (JPISTRA). This important event is conducted annually and attended by prominent members and poultry institutions in Japan.
At present, JPISTRA is the only poultry association in Japan that incorporates all sectors of the society in its programs. This well-diversified approach ensures that all aspects of the poultry industry are well-represented. Members of the association include poultry producers (layers and broilers), poultry veterinarians, administrative and government officials, scientists, researchers, the academe, vaccine, pharmaceuticals, feeds and agro-industrial companies, distribution officials, food companies, poultry consumers and media practitioners.
Every year, prominent poultry practitioners, researches and well-known experts from around the world are also invited to discuss the events and trends that are occurring in other parts of the world and to share their views on important poultry topics that are affecting the poultry industry globally.
