Monitoring and screening of radioactive contamination of eggs and feeds


After the Great Tohoku Earthquake and the resulting nuclear power plant accidents and the damages it caused in the agricultural sector, we established our own analytical laboratory to quantify the amount of radiation levels in eggs, feeds, rice, fruits, vegetables and other agricultural materials to assure the safety and quality of these products in the region. As a third party-institute, we also proposed to the members of the Fukushima Prefecture Poultry Association to build a voluntary self-monitoring system to dispel any fears and harmful rumors of radioactive contamination. To supplement the government readings, we compare and publish our findings to make sure that all poultry products of our client farms are safe and free from any harmful radioactive contamination.
